Policies and Agreements
Policies are an important part of running a web business, security is paramount to the efficient supply of the services on offer, this runs twofold in a hosting business as you are not only securing yourself from outside users you are also managing large quantities of inside users who are also a threat to the business. Policies on use of services are important to cover legal issues that arise when in conflict with a problem client.
Acceptable Use Policy
This policy covers what a client can and cant do with the servers on offer, it states what ProMantix deams “acceptable” for the client to do without notice or consent. Anything outside the boundaries set out in this document are defined as a breach of the acceptable use policy.
Design Agreement
Upon delivery of Web Site design quotation and completion, the client agrees to the Design Agreement, this document states ownership of services rendered until payment is received, it defines extra costs for late payment, termination of development as well as service and liability. Clients should be made available of this document on quotation of development services.
Hosting Agreement
This Agreement covers hosting plans offered by ProMantix, it covers in writing the services offered for payment by the client, it also covers the set limits and rules for the use of ProMantix Web Hosting. A user in breach of the hosting agreement will usually find their services suspended awaiting appeal.
Privacy Agreement
This Agreement defines the use of personal data by ProMantix, personal data may cover user details and information, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, purchase information, costs. The document basically states that ProMantix will not share any information unless specified by law.
Purchases and Returns
When purchasing items off ProMantix, the client agrees to the following Terms of Purchase, this document covers general purchase information including warranty, returns, damages and finaly payment of goods. Customers should be aware of their rights when purchasing goods, whether though ProMantix or another supplier.
